Joel Lusman
Lusman Capital Management
Joel worked for the Korsant family (related to the Ziff Brothers organization) for 5 years before starting his own firm in 2006. He also worked at Kingdon for six years. Interestingly, he's run a partnership for his family for almost 20 years and has generated very substantial wealth in it. That partnership is now part of the $300mm Lusman Capital hedge fund, which launched in 2006 and has produced great returns since then. Joel specializes in idiosyncratic equity ideas where several catalysts can produce a multi-bagger return. He's opportunistic but in recent years has done a lot in natural resources. We've often seen him sell ideas at large profits just as larger hedge funds started to buy them, so I think his work will be very well received.
