Mitch started as an internal auditor at Neuberger Berman in 1978. After graduate school in 1983, Mitch joined Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. where he was Director of Research, a Member of The Investment Policy Committee and a Shareholder. In 1991, he joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management becoming Co-Chief Investment Officer, responsible for U.S. Equity Investing. While at Goldman Sachs, Mitch created and managed the five star value style Growth & Income Fund. He also managed the Balanced Fund and Co-Managed the Capital Growth Fund. In 1996, Mitch joined Weiss, Peck & Greer, a $13 billion money management firm, and became their Chief Executive Officer. In 1998, Weiss, Peck & Greer was sold to Robeco, a unit of Rabobank. In June 2001, Mitch founded Mountain Lake. Mitch is a member of the Board of Directors of SunBurger LLC, a private restaurant company. Mitch is a graduate of Brown University and received an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is married to Patricia Coronado.
