Conrad BlackConrad Black was the chairman of the London Telegraph newspapers and Spectator from 1989 to 2004, the founder of the National Post in Canada, and has been the controlling shareholder of many of the most prominent newspapers in Canada and Australia, and the Chicago Sun-Times and Jerusalem Post. He is the author of extensive biographies of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Richard M. Nixon and other books, and is a weekly columnist for the National Post and National Review Online and frequent contributor to other publications in several countries. He has had a long legal dispute in the United States, in which 15 of 17 charges have been abandoned, rejected or vacated and two remain under appeal. He is a member of the British House of Lords.
